Beware of any email attachments (even ones that appear to be from people you know) that require a password to access them.
If you think about it who would send you a password protected file and include the password as part of the text in the email message?
Normally the password text looks something like this:
The password is "1234"
As always, TeleSites.net email will have an appended warning subject line:
[WARNING- ZIP Attachment -BEWARE of Password Protected Files]
[WARNING- DOC Attachment -BEWARE Password Protected Files]
[WARNING- PDF File Attachment -BEWARE]
For network environments it is important that you make your staff aware of these Phishing messages as many infections can now spread through your network once allowed by on a single PC.
